I mean why would anyone want to use a technology on their website that won’t be available to some users. I must admit before you read this whole thing, I’m a little biased because I’ve been designing/developing for Flash since it was a newly…See More

The Future Is Now

Technology moves at a dizzying pace, and for a web designer or developer, it’s hard not to want to start using all these new shiny toys as soon as they’re available. Of course anyone would want to make use of something that is going to allow him or her to do his or her job faster and better. However, the limitations of browsers can make adoption of some technologies harder than others. Internet Explorer 6, which is the biggest nightmare inducer of them all, was released almost ten years ago.…See More

Rock the Cheetah's Ass

The following passage is from a book published in 1951 titled The Scottish Himalayan Expedition by W.H. Murray. It is one of my favorites. If you can get through the "old fashioned" language, this is really just another way to talk about the Wired World Media value of "Rock the Cheetah's Ass."Until one is committed there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills…See More

Education officially goes interactive!

If you have a child entering grade school within the next 5 years, there’s a good chance they will have the same reaction to the word “textbook” as today’s 18 year olds have to the phrase “CD player”. The paper based (over-priced) textbook and education in general as we know it are forever changing. Apple’s recent announcement of the iBooks 2 app, iBooks Author and iTunes U is the tipping point for this new era.   …See More

The power of words in creating success
