culture is huge here

WHAT WE DO BEST IS PRACTICE WHO WE "BE"

When we use the term "being-based business" we mean the company's primary focus is on a core set of values to which we agree to practice and operate by every day. We believe that if we are able to consistently "be" this way, our clients have an unparalleled experience, and our company will be more successful, fun, and extraordinary than it could otherwise possibly be:

Accountable — We will do what we say we will do. We will be our word.

Authentic — We will be candid and real. We will speak from our experiences and in the moment.

Aware of the Possible — We will think bigger. We will yearn to learn and grow.

Detached — We will check our egos at the door. We will remember none of this really matters.

Fun — We will have a good time and positive attitude at work. We will laugh a lot and do neat gags. We will not have fun at the expense of others.

Giving — We will give. To ourselves and others. We will operate from a position of abundance and value sharing our ideas and resources with others.

Involved — We will be focused and deeply engaged as we go about our work. We will be passionate.

Promotive — We will be respectful and hard-working. We will be committed to our individual success as well as the success of each other.

Self-generating — We will be productive and responsible. We will be the author of our experiences and own making things happen.

Rock the Cheetah's Ass

The following passage is from a book published in 1951 titled The Scottish Himalayan Expedition by W.H. Murray. It is one of my favorites. If you can get through the "old fashioned" language, this is really just another way to talk about the Wired World Media value of "Rock the Cheetah's Ass."Until one is committed there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills…See More

Education officially goes interactive!

If you have a child entering grade school within the next 5 years, there’s a good chance they will have the same reaction to the word “textbook” as today’s 18 year olds have to the phrase “CD player”. The paper based (over-priced) textbook and education in general as we know it are forever changing. Apple’s recent announcement of the iBooks 2 app, iBooks Author and iTunes U is the tipping point for this new era.   …See More

The power of words in creating success

As a counselor and life coach, I have been exposed to various theories of human behavior and numerous therapeutic treatment modalities. Most of what I have learned involves identifying mental health disorders and creating treatment plans to deal with emotional distress, disability, and suffering. In other words, most of psychotherapy is about understanding misery and undoing the disabling conditions of life.In recent years, I came across Positive Psychology. I fell in love with it! Based on…See More
